The route from Bangalore to Shirdi is as follows.

1. From the Krishna Raja Circle, pass the Ganesh temple on the SC road and reach the Nagappa road, followed by Shri M Ramamurthy Road.

2. Reach the Asian Highway 47/NH 4, and keep on the Partial Toll road. 

3. Keep left to continue on Tumkur - GG Halli Rd and pass by IRB Toll.

4. Take the Davanagere-Harihar Bypass, go through 2 roundabouts and enter the Maharashtra State Highway 61. Continue to SH 62

5. After around 14 km, turn right to the Mumbai Highway and after 10 km, take a sharp left to the Daund Patas Road.

6. Take the SH 10 road, and continue on it. You will pass Lata Medical Kashti. At the roundabout take the fourth exit and continue on the SH 10.

7. Pass Pandit hospital and take the Tilak road.

8. Turn towards Maharashtra Major State Highway 2/NH 222 and after about 800m take the SH 10. Take a left from WADA PAV and another slight left to get on the Sarjepura/SH 10 road.

9. After about 82 km, turn right at Derasar onto the Shirdi-Puntamba Rd/Shrirampur-Shirdi. You will pass the Tirth Prasad Lodge.

10. After driving for around 500 m, take the second right and then a left to reach Shirdi.

As far as places to see en route is concerned, you can stop at Chitradurga. It is famous for the Chitradurga fort and the Chandravalli caves.

Devanagere (the heart of Karnataka) is another destination that is worth checking out. It has a number of ancient temples and a beautiful lake called Kunduvada kere. Apart from that, Bathi Gudda, Kondajji, Uchangidurga and Shanthi Sagara are some of the nearby places around Devanagere.

The route takes you to the twin cities of Hubli and Dharwar. Hubli is a fast growing city after Bangalore. There are many hotels here in case you wish to stopover for the night. The Unkal lake and the Nrupatunga Hill are the major tourist spots in the area.

Satara is another town that will fall on your way to Shirdi. This place is especially famous for a sweet called Kandi Pedhe. And if you decide to stop over at Satara, you must visit the Kas plateau (Valley of Flowers) - a world heritage site. Other nearby attractions include the Vajrai waterfall, Ajinkyatara fort, Pateshwar, Chharbhinti and Sajjangarh fort.
