The fest is as much about the local culture as it is about the beer. The parade by the locals from Maximilian Street through the centre of Munich to the Oktoberfest grounds is an important part of the festival now, and the locals participate with great enthusiasm!

The Oktoberfest is no less than a carnival with amazing rides, some of the popular ones include ferris wheels, roller coasters, and other fair rides.

From locals to tourists from all over the world, over 6 million people attend Oktoberfest, thus making a reservation in one of the 14 tents is even more important! (some people make it months in advance to avoid the long queues). Once a table is yours, do not let go of it!

Usually a mass is priced around 10 euros, but considering how much the Europeans love their beer, it does not last really long!

There are all sort of sausages, especially the bratwurst, pork knuckles with sauerkraut, and pretzels served with a Camembert-paprika dip, the German food served at Oktoberfest is delicious and goes perfectly well with the beer.
