Bernina Express, Switzerland

The Bernina Express which connects Switzerland to Italy will take you through landscapes so breathtaking that you will feel like you’re staring at a painting. Passing through the mighty Swiss Alps, when aboard this train you will get to see snow-capped mountains, beautiful bridges and some dazzling lakes. This one simply can’t be missed!

Trans-Siberian Railway, Russia

Connecting Moscow with Eastern Russia and the Sea of Japan, the route taken by the Trans-Siberian Railway is an experience in itself. Extending across 9,289 km, this railway line is considered to be the longest in the world. From cascading mountains to sprawling rivers, your eyes are in for a real treat!

Denali Star, Alaska

Running between the cities of Anchorage and Fairbanks in Alaska, the Denali Star only operates between the months of May and September, due to the weather conditions in the area. Consisting of dome cars and single level coaches, this train passes through jaw dropping sights of Alaska.

California Zephyr, United States

Operating between the city of Chicago in Illinois and Emeryville in California, the California Zephyr is 3,924 km long. On this route you get to lay your eyes on beauties such as the world renowned Rocky Mountains, Colorado River and the Sierra Nevada mountain range.

Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, India

Better known as the Toy Train, this narrow gauge railway line connects New Jalpaiguri and the beautiful city of Darjeeling in West Bengal. Stretching across a 78 km long patch, the elevation of this route varies from 328 ft to 7,218 ft. The entire route is dotted with picturesque sights of the Indian countryside.

Douro Line Railway, Portugal

Talyllyn Railway, United Kingdom
