  • Air
    Even though Alleppey does not have its own airport, it is well connected to nearby airports. The closest airport is Nedumbassery International Airport, which also known as the Cochin International Airport, is located at a distance of around 75 kilometres. This is the largest airport of Kerala and is well connected with all the important cities of India and many countries of Middle East, Asia, Europe and USA. You can take a taxi from the airport to Alleppey which costs around INR 9 to INR 15 per kilometre. Another nearby airport is Thiruvananthapuram International Airport that is located about 150 kilometers away from here.
  • Rail
    The Alleppey railway station, located within the city, provides good connectivity with rest of the country via rail route. Some of the major cities connected to this city are Cochin, Thiruvananthapuram, Bangalore, Chennai, Mangalore, Dhanbad, Ernakulam, Kannur, New Delhi, Coimbatore, Mumbai, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Amritsar, Tatanagar etc, with the main trains being Alleppey Exp, Ernakulam Exp, Chennai Exp, Netravathi Exp, Jan Shatabdi, Maveli Exp, Guv Chennai Exp, Amritsar Exp, Ms Guruvayur Ex and Trivandrum Exp among the others. The non-a/c charge is between INR 33 to INR 200, depending on the distance, while private AC buses charge around INR 500 per seat from cities like Mangalore, Bangalore and Chennai.
