  • Sumitra Nandan Pant Museum

    One of the legendary personalities to have come from the picturesque lands of Kausani was Shri Sumitranandan Pant. He was one of the most eminent poet and writer of his time. He excelled in the Chhayawadi school of Hindi literature. Sumitra Nandan Pant museum is dedicated to pay homage to this great personality whose works brought laurels for the country and got recognition worldwide. He was awarded the Nehru Peace Prize by Soviet Union for his work Lokayatan.

    The museum proudly houses  manuscripts and drafts of his most notable literary works. They also have on display, the articles used by him, awards and recognition and also the letters which he wrote and received. This place is of particular interest to academicians who wish to get a peek inside the poetic life of late Mr.Pant.

  • Anasakti Ashram Museum

    Located inside the Anasakti Ashram in Kausani, the museum is a humble ode to the Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Celebrating his idealism, victories and his way of Gandhian lifestyle through pictures and his literary work, It is a good place to get a peek into his heroic and virtuous life.
    The entry is free for all the travellers and the the timings are from 5.30 am to afternoon and then 4 to 7 pm in the evening.
