  • Camel Leather Items
    A famous speciality of Jaisalmer are its Camel Leather items. Find handbags, wallets, footwear and belts In simple designs that are tough and durable. These small items will gradually take such a place in your life that when they finally wear out, you will want to run back to Jaisalmer to replace them. The best part about camel leather? When you get tired of your tan hued bag, rub some polish on and renew its look with a dash of colour!

    It is best to shop for camel leather goodies from street markets, do make sure you bargain!
  • Handicrafts
    The handicraft market is one of Jaisalmer’s booming sector and provides a stable source of employment for the residents of this city. The local craftsmen and women are skilled and have been trained for generations in wood and metal sculpting, paintings and embroidery. A fossil stone article can cost you anywhere between INR 150- INR 800 depending on its size.

For one-stop shopping, you can visit the State owned Rajasthan Art Emporium, Rajasthali. Alternatively, just stroll on the streets and meander through hordes of tourists, vendors and locals or be assailed by the typical sounds and smells of a busy bazaar.
