A popular destination in West Bengal, the scenic Kalimpong is a perfect destination for quiet, relaxing retreats and short trips with one's family. Once you explore every nook and corner of this quaint hill-town, you might want to make your way to the nearby attractions. Here are some names which are worth exploring for sure:

  • Darjeeling

    21 km from Kalimpong, Darjeeling is the lush, green hill-town in West Bengal, famous for its tea plantations. Developed by the British in the 19th century, this serene town is now home to a vibrant Tibetan and Sikkimese culture. Hop on to the quiet Himalayan Railway and experience some of the most breathtaking views of the majestic Himalayas on your journey. Don't forget to enjoy a steaming cuppa of flavored tea which is prepared from the fresh tea leaves.

    The recommended route (via road and you can hire private cabs and taxis) is the
