This beautiful and mystical hill-station is a tourist's delight. Its history is as amazing as its scenic beauty. This small hill-town in Himachal Pradesh has a fascinating story behind its origin as well. It is believed that Lord Hanuman had placed his feet here in order to advance onto the Sanjeevani hill, and that is how the place came into existence.

This was the mythological part of the whole thing, now read on for the more factual one. This is a cantonment that was actually established as a Colonial hill station by the British Raj in 1842. Since that time, the beautiful hill station was used by the British invaders as a summer retreat that they used for relaxing during the times Britain was too cold to handle.

Because of it having British roots, the place has glimpses of colonial structures and overall ambience. As it is a small town, the place is less populated with people who are closely knit as a society. The people are friendly and seem to enjoy the most of the beauty of the verdant hills. They are warm, they are pleasant and welcome tourists from all over the country with open arms. It so happens during winters that during a walk through the lanes of the town, you might not find any person for a large stretch in one go. All this make the town one of the best options when it comes to getaways ensuring a trip to the mesmerising beauty of Mother Nature devoid of any city hassles. With the best things to do in Kasauli, you'll get to understand the city in a better way.

This is a small hill station with an equally small yet interesting history behind it. So, what are you waiting for? Go, explore the town. Go! Go! Go!
