Feni, also called fenny, is an alcoholic beverage, the most famous production of Goa and is a Geographical Indication (GI) product as well. Surprisingly, a bottle of Feni costs as low as INR 100. There are over 7000 bars and shops that sell Feni, but if you intend to get a bottle for yourself, try to go for a licensed seller to avoid getting duped by spurious concoctions of the same.

This beautiful state also has the finest variety of cashew nuts on offer, tinged in surprisingly different flavours. Pop in any flavour from the whole range that has plain cashews, salted cashews, unpeeled cashews and a whole more. Though it's available almost everywhere in the city, the area around Panaji is the hub of the cashew industry. One handy tip that you must remember while going on a cashew-buying spree is that purchasing directly from the factories, buying at wholesale prices can save you a whole lot of money. Some famous names in the trade are Royal Kajuwala in Panaji, Ajanta Industries in Ponda, Saima Agro Industry in Usgao and Zantyes Cashew Nuts in Panaji.

You won't be complaining of carrying it all, even with kilos of this nut in your bag, for sweet are the fruits of labour. Happy cashew shopping!
