South Goa is the place to be if you want to spend your Goa holidays at a slightly relaxed pace. With quiet elegant resorts and lots of pristine serene beaches, South Goa strikes a stark contrast against North Goa. Get acquainted with some of the best beaches in South Goa that you can enjoy while cherishing the best of your Goa holiday package.

Agonda Beach

Milky-white sands lapped by brilliant blue waters of the Arabian Sea and fringed with gently swaying palms - that’s Agonda Beach for you. Take a Panjim to Agonda cab to reach this gorgeous shoreline. The absence of hawkers, restaurants, and shops makes it a wonderful place to connect with nature. Carry essential stuff such as food and water as facilities are pretty far away. It goes without saying that Agonda is one of the best South Goa beaches for experiencing quiet meditative moments amidst the beauty of nature.

Palolem Beach

It’s tough to arrive at a consensus over the question of the best beach in South Goa and Palolem is easily a strong contender to the title. It is a perfect combination of delightful seclusion on one hand and sufficient shacks and shops on the other also a decent number of hotels near the Palolem beach. This is a fishing beach and if you are lucky, a fisherman may take you out for dolphin spotting.

Mobor Beach

Mobor easily holds its own when it comes to the numerous well-known names adorning one of the South Goa beaches lists. It is amongst the most picturesque beaches located South of Benaulim. Mobor Beach is situated very close to some of the most well-known luxury resorts in Goa. However, you may satiate your hunger pangs at some nearby shack dishing out mind blowing culinary treats.

Patnem Beach

The beauty of Patnem lies in the fact that it is not a very famous beach of South Goa. This has shielded Patnem from the claws of commercialisation to a great extent. The beach is pretty small and lies snuggled between two cliffs. Some of the most loveliest beach resorts in Goa are here perfect for experiencing nightlife. Also, one may always head to Palolem which is nearby.

Galjibaga Beach

No discussion on the best beaches in South Goa can be complete without a reference to Galjibaga Beach. This one is a veritable 1.5 km stretch of paradise and also has some of the best hotels in Goa. Bathing in the balmy waters of the Arabian Sea and lazing around in the warm golden sands without being bothered by hawkers makes it a fabulous beach to visit. Being a nesting ground for the rare Olive Ridley Turtles, the Galjibaga Beach also treats you to the view of these captivating little creatures.
