Cycling in crowded cities may seem like an over ambitious feat, yet the surprising city of Delhi offers you just that. With a few cycling routes in Gurgaon, your cycling adventure is about to get a wee bit more interesting.

If you are a cycling enthusiast, you may already be aware of annoying hindrances in the form of unkept roads and long traffic jams. The best time to set out then is either before sunrise or as the sun descends. The latter still being prone to rush hour traffic.

Some of the best places to cycle in Delhi include the stretch from India Gate to the central Ridge which starts from Dhaula Kuan, the stretch behind St.Stephens College in the Delhi University and Luytens Delhi. You can also try lanes around JNU during early morning hours as there is hardly any traffic.

Gurgaon on the other hand may not offer you as many options. The Gurgaon-Faridabad stretch is by far the best terrain for cycling. Slightly craggy, the newly constructed highway there is a blessing for amateur cyclists. You can also head out to the Mehrauli-Gurgaon stretch and admire the greenery surprising you at sporadic intervals.

If you want to explore more cycling routes and would like some company while on your adventure, there are various groups you can join. Some of them are Delhi Cycling Club (you can find them on Facebook), Gurgaon Fun Riders and South Delhi Pedal Force
