Try Jawadhu Hills, just 200 kms from Chennai City. This is the Nearest one from Chennai,

Its Not a Hill Station but the weather and roads are very nice one, thanks to Tamilnadu government and state highways department for maintaining the roads in good quality. Please Avoid Night Drivings. 6am to 5pm is safer time. After polur town To jamuna marathur 40kms of Ghat roads you cant see any shops or even peoples. But it is mind blowing road.

Direction :

BY ROAD : Chennai-Arcot-Arni-Polur-Jamuna Marathur.(Javvadhu Hills)

From Chennai Take NH4, chennai-poonamallee Bypass- Arcot and Take Arni road ,after Arni Bypass take the Polur Road, When You reaches Polur town, ask the route for aththiyur and after aththiyur you can see the sign boards for JAMUNA MARATHUR.

Simply the 90 minutes polur-jamuna marathur ghat road of 40kms is gives us the love with nature of Eastern Ghats
