Jaipur is the ideal destination for all of those who are hardcore foodies.

There are several food joints to serve to everybody's purpose which can also add cherries to your Jaipur holiday package. The more popular ones are:

Laxmi Mishtan Bhandar
A very popular food joint that is easily affordable and serves a very famous local sweet dish, Rasmalai. It is situated in the busy market of Johari Bazaar and serves authentic Rajasthani and Kashmiri cuisine, smack in the middle of a typical Jaipur market area.

  • Chokhi Dhani

    a.k.a Lalten Restaurant is one of the most popular places to eat in Jaipur, and of course, a slice of true Rajasthani culture. Enjoy camel rides and traditional performances or splurge in the in-house flea-market. This village-style restaurant serves authentic Rajasthani cuisine in an authentic Rajasthani ambiance and opens at 6 PM everyday. The usual Rajasthani Thali includes Gatte Ki Sabzi, Daal Baati, Churma, Khichadi and some lip-smacking dessert like Kheer. Entry fee here is around INR 350 for adults, which may vary during peak and off seasons.

  • Apno Gaon

    The place serves delicious vegetarian, including fresh vegetables and fruits, is located slightly away from the main city. You can pay an entry fee of INR 350 to enjoy the amazing cuisine, other than of course, the colourful Rajasthani culture.

  • Natraj
    Located at the ever famous MI Road, it serves vegetarian food, the Rajasthani Thali, which typically includes Gatte Ki Sabzi, Daal Baati, Churma and Bajre ki Khichadi, being their speciality. The main courses are in the range of INR 90 to INR 175 with some thalis costing a bit more.

  • Rawat Mishthan Bhandar

    It serves one of the most sought after local food, Pyaz ki Kachori (a spicy onion fried dish). It is situated at Polo Victory cinema and is very close to both the railway station and the bus stand. This forms an inevitable part of the things to do in Jaipur.

  • Loharu House
