about bhuli bhatiyari ka mahal

Initially built to serve as a hunting lodge, Bhuli Bhatiyari ka Mahal is a decently big structure with many small chambers that relate to what is called as ‘sarai’. It was seen as a lodge only when it was free from the king's hunting parties. This lodge derived its named from Bu-Ali-Bhatti, who was responsible for taking care of the same. The construction of the Mahal was done in 14 CE by Firoz Shah Tughlaq.

Although this Mahal looks simple, still the twin gates at the entrance are quite interesting to look at, making up for a great photography session. The Mahal opens into a large verandah, housing small rooms in tandem with the rectangular boundary. Also, you can see an embankment, encircling the entire monument, which now is observable only in certain places, the rest being eaten up or weathered away by the village roads.
