about goverdhan temple

Located adjacent to the gate of Hawa Mahal in Jaipur, Goverdhan Temple was built in 1847 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. The idols of both Lord Krishna and his consort Shri Radha have been casted in metal. Built in the form of a ‘haveli’, this temple encapsulates marble pillars carved in the shape of an elephant’s trunk. You can even view ornamental and floral patterns used in the designing of the temple.
