about rajwada (holkar palace)

Three times burnt Rajwada, still stands as a testament to the ultra-rich heritage of this old city. The three stone made lower stories along with wooden upper stories create a view of a grand structure which make any tourist’s heart skip a beat. This grand structure, also known as the Old Palace, showcases a blend of architectural influences from the Holkar Dynasty along with many other ruling dynasties of ancient India. Once here at Rajwada, one should not miss the beautiful gardens, fountains and an artificial waterfall within the premises of the palace. The elegance of the 200 years old palace speaks volumes about the dynasty and its style and provides the tourists with a sight that is not easily forgettable.

Come here to witness what the King's residence used to look like, what the royal rulers' lives looked like. Come at Rajwada to experience history wrapped so tight to its roots that it becomes an awe-inspiring tribute to what royalty and grandeur stand for.
