If you are on a quick trip to Kodaikanal, you should simply not miss out on the following places. The best way to reach this picturesque hill station is by taking a Madurai to Kodaikanal cab which is about a two hour journey. Once there, get ready to pull up your socks and head out to explore the best offerings of this picturesque hill station.

There is no better way to start your day in Kodaikanal than visiting the Kurinji Andavar Temple. Not only is the place calm and strongly reverberating with spiritual vibes, it also offers fantastic views of the hills around. The place is even more famous for the tales of the Kurinji Flowers, which are said to bloom once in 12 years. (Last time was 2006).

After a visit to the temple, take a trip to the famous PT Road, to sample and buy some of Kodaikanal's best chocolates. Spend some leisurely time on this walk, catch a bite at one of the popular restaurants like Tava and Royal Tibet and revel in the laid back atmosphere of the place.

After you have munched to your heart's fill, it is time to visit Coaker's Walk. Embrace the beauty of the picturesque valleys while strolling around with your someone special. The views are the best between 1 and 2 PM, so try to make the most of them!

After your leisurely walk, take a quick trip to Bear Shola Waterfalls. Enjoy local lunch and splash about in this waterfall to make the most of your afternoon! It is a good idea to boating in the Kodai Lake in the evening, to close your short trip to the place in the best manner possible!

If you still have some energy left, go souvenir shopping in one of the popular markets in Kodaikanal after your boat ride! While this might have been one action packed day, you can sleep with the feeling of having enjoyed the best of Kodaikanal's offerings!
