What are the operating hours of the Bengaluru Metro?

Namma Metro's Purple and Green Lines run daily from around 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM on weekdays. The Yellow Line runs from approx. 6:00 AM to 11:55 PM on weekdays. On Sundays, all lines start at around 7:00 AM and close by 11:00 PM.

What are the peak hours for the Bengaluru Metro, and do they affect booking?

Peak hours on Namma Metro are 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, during which trains run every 8 minutes on the Purple and Green Lines. Peak hours do not affect the ticket booking process. You can book your QR ticket on the ixigo mobile app at any time!

Can I change my destination after booking the Bangalore Metro?

Once a metro QR ticket is booked and activated at the entry gate, the destination cannot be changed. If you need to travel to a different destination, you will need to book a new ticket for the revised journey.

Can I book return tickets in Bengaluru Metro?

Yes, you can book both single and return journey metro tickets on ixigo.

Can I get a refund for a partially used or unused QR ticket?

QR tickets can be refunded if cancelled before entering the station. The refund is processed within 7 working days. Once a QR ticket has been scanned and activated at the entry gate, it cannot be refunded as the journey has already commenced.

What happens if I miss my entry to the Bengaluru Metro after booking?

A passenger holding a valid ticket can exit from the same station within 20 minutes and from other stations within 120 minutes. For overstaying beyond these limits, a penalty of Rs. 50 per hour is charged, subject to a maximum of Rs. 100.
